We are the Ontario Finnish Resthome Foundation (OFRF) and are the official fundraising body for the Ontario Finnish Resthome Association (OFRA).
Allow us to Introduce Ourselves!
As our own entity/registered charitable organization, we're dedicated to improving the quality of life for seniors at OFRA since 1992. With your support, we have been assisting with the costs not covered by the OFRA budget of various expansions and enhancement initiatives involved with supporting “Homes with A Heart”.

With generous donor support of our events and campaigns, and through approved government grant requests, we've been capable of enhancing life for residents in so many ways.
Lotteries
We host bi-weekly 50/50 lotteries where everybody wins - figuratively. Purchasing a $5 ticket in one of our twenty annual draws gives YOU the chance to win up to $700 while supporting the purchase of items that directly benefit OFRA residents! Past lottery proceeds have purchased a wheelchair accessible bus, spa therapy tubs, recreational therapy equipment, and so much more!
The OFRA Ladies' Auxiliary
The Ladies' Auxiliary was founded with a mandate of raising funds primarily for Mauno Kaihla Koti nursing home. To date, they've raised well over $1 million primarily through bake and craft sales and their thrift/fashion stores. The Ladies' have supported many Foundation projects and together, we improve the comfort, dignity, and well-being of those who call OFRA their home.
