About us

Suomi Esti Maja (seniors apartments) Provides a warm atmosphere and clean surroundings to help each resident to feel comfortable and safe in their surroundings. Many activities are planned and residents can be as busy and involved as they desire or, they can just enjoy the company of others.

Kotitalo (Assisted living) Residents bring furnishings and personal items to make their apartments "home." The staff help with housekeeping and laundry and good meals are provided daily. Activities are planned to keep residents engaged and as busy and happy as possible. Independence is encouraged.

Mauno Kaihla Koti (nursing home- total care) Our nursing home has ward, semi-private and private accommodation. Residents are encouraged to bring personal items to decorate their rooms to help with adjustment. Staff are friendly and helpful and try very hard to make each person feel comfortable and secure. Meals are provided with care and attention to special dietary needs.

Uusi Koti Campaign

To meet our community’s growing needs OFRA’s Board of Directors has developed a multi-faceted, multi-year growth strategy that will see the OFRA community nearly double in capacity. The first step in their plan for growth is the construction of a new seniors’ independent living apartment building.

The total cost for this building project is estimated at $16 million. To assist with these costs, OFRA recently launched Uusi Koti – A New Home: Campaign for Seniors Independent Living with a goal of raising a minimum of $4 million.
